Participatory Management of Forest Resources Program (PGPRF) financed by German technical cooperation (GTZ for the German acronym) and implemented between 1992 and 2009. This project enabled the very partial rehabilitation of the Bangui Special Reserve: protection of 245 ha and reforestation with Gmelina and Teck of 129 ha (out of a total of 335,900 ha of Reserve) in order to limit fires and erosion.
